Descanso Delights Associates – Together Yet Apart

To adapt our services during the era of COVID-19, we’ve slowly reintroduced outdoor community activities, but with restrictions. Recently, a small group of Associates reveled in a rare visit with one another during an afternoon at the beautiful gardens and exhibits of Descanso Gardens in La Cañada Flintridge. Look at their brightly colored, spring-like clothes – you can tell everyone was excited to explore the grounds!

Now more than ever, outings like this help ward off isolation and depression as well as provide our Associates with opportunities for education and exploration. Community stupport Staff accompany them to help them engage with their peers and interact with their surroundings. And just as importantly, TCC staff uphold COVID-19 related safety standards, like wearing masks, social distancing and frequent handwashing, to make sure our Associates can enjoy themselves responsibly.

We look forward to sharing our Associates’ future trips with you. Your support helps fund the staffing, transportation and entry fees required to provide this much need service. Follow us on social media to let us know where we should go next!
