Nancy Niebrugge, Deputy Executive Director, and David Fields, Executive Director, at our Halloween Fundraiser, A Spooktacular Evening
We are excited to announce our new Executive Director, Nancy Niebrugge. She will take office in early September as David Fields, current TCC Executive Director, transitions into retirement. In her current role as Deputy Executive Director for the past two years, Nancy has worked as a partner with David. She has led TCC through the pandemic to sustain the organization’s momentum to success. There will be no steps lost in this transition of leadership.
Thus far in her role at TCC, Nancy has led the charge to improve TCC’s quality of service through creating new digital programs to promote remote services. She also has secured funding to bring behavioral expertise and employer incentives to our supported employment program to get more of our Associates back to work. Our residential program is thriving under her leadership and Nancy is developing a New Ventures Program to engage I/DD students once they matriculate from the public school system.
Beyond program support, Nancy brings valuable expertise to fund development, public relations, marketing, and social media.
“I’m extremely excited for this next chapter for TCC,” said Nancy. “We have plenty of plans in development that we can’t wait to share with you.”
Nancy has over 24 years of senior management experience in the nonprofit space. In addition, she holds a Certificate in Strategic Management from the Harvard Extension School. Her bachelor’s degree in Journalism also comes in quite handy. No one would ever think to challenge her at Scrabble.
Nancy is a dedicated mother to her two adult children and enjoys the outdoor life. It’s not unusual for her to bike commute from her Los Feliz home to our Glendale offices. Or she may opt for a morning swim at the Rose Bowl Aquatics Center. A choice vacation for Nancy would be white water rafting in Kern County.
Nancy is very respected by the board and staff in her current role. We welcome her to this new and enhanced role. We have nothing but confidence in her ability to lead TCC to a stronger and brighter future.
