Ronnie’s Transformation

Ronnie, TCC Associate

This holiday season, we want to highlight TCC Associate Ronnie. Twenty-one years ago, Ronnie moved into the David Gogian House and joined The Campbell Center’s residential program. He had been living with family members where he was well cared for but was not always getting reinforcement about the consequences of his decisions.

Ronnie said, “Since I’ve lived at the Gogian House, I am more independent. The staff help me out a lot. They have shown me how to make better decisions, like saving money, creating a plan, and thinking through actions before I do them.”

Living on-site with 24/7 care, our residents receive vital support from skilled staff and peers to help them attain a higher level of independence.

At the homes, staff members use positive reinforcement and informed choice to guide our Associates towards a responsible and autonomous way of life.

Residential Administrator Paula Peterson says, “Ronnie has come so far since I first met him.  With patience and a little guidance, we’ve shown him that he can give himself the freedom to do the things he enjoys like relaxing in a clean home, engage in a rewarding social network, and go on vacation. As a result, he’s grown into a responsible and independent man.”

Please join us in our mission to create life-changing opportunities for our Associates. Our Residential, Employment, and Community Integration Programs provide the critical support they need to achieve independence.

Thanks to a matching gift from The Campbell Center’s Transforming Futures Lead Donors,* your gift will go twice as far to support inclusion in our community. We are incredibly grateful to all of our donors who are helping us reach our most ambitious goal yet!

Here are some of the ways you can help our Associates reach their goals:

  • $3000 pays for one month of support for a client in our residential program.
  • $1500 provides a month of comprehensive community integration activities.
  • $750 covers the cost of cleaning our facilities and providing PPE to keep our Associates safe while they receive life-changing services in-person.
  • $500 supports 150 hours of job coaching to help Associates thrive at work.
  • $250 provides essential digital literacy skills to help our Associates use the computer safely.
  • $100 buys supplies for our art program, which keeps our Associates engaged.
  • $50 pays for an outing to help integrate our Associates and ensure quality of life.

We wish you a happy holiday season.
