A Special Interview…

Sevan Tahmasian is the President of Waffle Pantry, a boutique online store specializing in authentic Belgian pearl sugar and a selection of specialty gourmet baking tools and ingredients. The product line offers bakers all the elements needed to create the ultimate Belgian Liege waffle in their own kitchen. Since 2015, The Campbell Center has partnered with the company for its fulfillment and shipping needs to help bring its products to customers across the country.

Earlier in 2017, we had the chance to sit down with Sevan for a chat about his company and the professional relationship with The Campbell Center.

How did you find your customers?

Customers usually find us through our website and blog (WafflePantry.com) where we gather and share everything we know about Liege waffles and other unique European baked treats that bakers at home and in professional kitchens are curious about. Waffle Pantry’s site is a hub for Belgian pearl sugar and Liege waffle fans to learn recipes, share ideas and ask questions. New customers often hear about us through word of mouth from happy customers, as well.


Who are your customers?

Our customers range from budding home bakers to professional chefs. High-end bakeries, restaurant pastry chefs, gourmet cooks and avid travelers who’ve discovered the products through travels in Europe are all Waffle Pantry customers.  The common thread is their appreciation of our authentic ingredients like pearl sugar, flour and yeast that make for the excellent baked results.  It’s a niche but loyal market.  This is because our offerings are difficult to find in the average market as they are carefully curated by our team and imported from Europe. 


How did you get into the business?

Having spent most of my youth in Europe, I grew up with the luscious taste of Liege waffles and other baked delicacies from local bakeries that aren’t as common here in the States. It was not until my postgraduate studies in England that I realized the necessity and opportunity to bring these unique ingredients and foods to Americans. With an entrepreneurial spirit and commitment to hard work, I‘ve been fortunate enough to start and grow Waffle Pantry.


How did you find out about The Campbell Center?

Actually, it was a by chance. The bulk of my business involves fulfilling and shipping orders to customers requiring endless trips to my local post office, which happened to be across from street from The Campbell Center.  I walked in one day and asked about their fulfillment services and that was the beginning of our relationship.  I liked what I saw and appreciated the professionalism of the staff charged with filling and shipping orders.  I knew this would be an ideal partnership. That was in 2015, so the relationship has been going strong for several years now.

How would you describe your experience with The Campbell Center?

From day one, I’ve had nothing but excellent service from TCC.  The staff, at every step of the process, is dedicated and committed to providing their best to ensure that my experience remains exceptional.  Vendors have choices and those choices are based on the level of quality they get from those to whom they entrust their business.  TCC, hands down, has proven to be first class.  I would wholeheartedly recommend TCC to any company who is looking for unparalleled quality for their fulfillment needs – packaging, labeling, shipping, etc.
