Your support helps empower our adults to reach their dreams. State and Federal funding covers only a portion of the cost of services. Direct donations, community support, partnerships and volunteerism are all vital to building and maintaining excellent, comprehensive programs.
Did you know you can provide for your own financial security and also help The Campbell Center continue with its mission to provide adults with developmental disabilities life-enriching opportunities? Planned or Legacy Gifts are a three-way winning proposition beneficial to all involved – you, our Associates and The Campbell Center.
Planned Gifts to The Campbell Center can be made in a number of ways. Some are made during the lifetime of the donor, thus offering immediate value and satisfaction, while others as part of an estate plan.
You might also consider making a gift as a tribute to a loved one, or as a matching gift, or participating in our Amazon Smile campaign.
Shopping never felt so good! With every purchase you make through Amazon, The Campbell Center will receive a percentage of your sale from the AmazonSmile Foundation. So, keep shopping! The Campbell Center proudly offers volunteer positions to members of the community or students for extracurricular/study purposes.
Volunteer opportunities range from working one-on-one with our Clients on the production floor at our site on San Fernando Road, to assisting with clerical duties. Individuals interested in sharing their time and talents can set up an appointment with Claudia Sandoval (firstname.lastname@example.org) for a tour and application.
We also offer volunteers the opportunity to help with our annual fundraising events.
Each year we host several events that help support our cause. In addition to our Annual Spring Gala, we host a Fall Poker Tournament and wintertime Bowl-A-Thon that give you an opportunity to share a good time and get to know our Associates while supporting The Campbell Center.
In March, we received an anonymous donation for a brand new 2019 Toyota Highlander Hybrid, purchased at Bob Smith Toyota in La Crescenta. We are so thankful and excited for this gift, as once we’re back on the road, we’ll have a reliable, economical vehicle to transport even more of our group home residents and program Associates to all the places they wish to go.
With seating for up to 7 people, it’s perfect for transporting our Associates with comfort and safety to enrichment activities, like volunteering at Salvation Army or Habitat for Humanity, or taking part in dance class.
Thanks to you, our Associates are gaining the knowledge, skills and values to create a more humane, just, and sustainable world.
