It was merry and bright at The Campbell Center as Santa flew over in a helicopter and then rolled up with his helpful Elf and nearly a dozen officers in a SWAT vehicle! The Glendale Police Officer Association, (GPOA) throw a holiday party for our Associates every year, but this year was extra special- this year our Associates raised funds to give gifts to Santa to pass on to local kids in need. They had earned money earlier in the year through their Aktion Club fundraiser, and had spent the last week buying toys for the GPOA toy drive. Overall TCC Associates donated more than 30 toys!
One by one they presented their gift to Santa and had their photo taken before getting cookies and punch and singing carols. For the officers, it was a wonderful chance to share positivity and embrace the holiday spirit. We are grateful to their support as at the end of the festivities GPOA made a cash donation to TCC’s programs.
