Thanks to a group of dedicated volunteers from Glendale Kiwanis, our oldest Residential Services home got some major garage upgrades on Saturday. They removed old shelving, and the last of the breaking vinyl tiles that were stuck to the garage floor. The volunteers also assembled new lockable storage cabinets.
This volunteer morning saved our staff several hours of hard work they were trying to finish outside as the heat was rising. We are so grateful to our volunteers!
The new cabinets volunteers put together will allow the people living in the house more secure storage for their personal items. The next goal for this house’s upgrades, is to move the staff filing cabinets out of the office space at the center of the home, and convert that space into a lounge with the new lockable cabinets for the residents to use.
